This is an example of one of our collection of Persian or Saracen ‘Sipar’ round shields. This type of shield was used by Infantry and Cavalry. They are of a Convexed design with carry straps fitted to the reverse. These shields are of GRP construction with a gold paint finish.These are costume pieces and are not suitable for stunt use. They measure 60cm diameter.
